What is the difference between you and other essential oil companies?

I am a small, local business and I am my only employee.  I am here to encourage you on your essential oil journey, not to sell you things that you may not necessarily need.  My oils are high quality oils that I purchase from Canadian distributors that ensure the proper testing is done.  They also purchase their oils from farms where the plant is originally from and ensure that ethical farming and harvesting practices are followed.  Some of the oils that I carry are organic, where possible, and I will note them as such.


Are the essential oils you use therapeutic grade?


As per Robert Tisserand, an aromatherapy expert on essential oil safety; there is no such thing as therapeutic grade vs. food grade vs. medical grade, etc. in essential oils. The term "therapeutic grade" is a home made term made by some essential oil companies to set their oils apart. Granted, there are going to be some oils that are of a lesser grade, but that has more to do with harvesting practices, location of the plant, distillation process and handling of the plant material more so than anything else. You do need to be careful of some companies that may sell adulterated oils, usually ones that are very expensive. If it's too cheap to be true, it probably isn't. That is why I purchase my oils from trusted Canadian companies.



Are your oils OK to ingest?

The answer to this is a definite NO.  As a professional member of the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists in good standing, I do not endorse the ingestion of essential oils.  As a personal choice, I do not encourage ingesting essential oils as there are some that can not be metabolized by the liver and can end up causing more harm than good.  Essential oils are not food flavourings and therefore should not be used as such.
